🛬 Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

  • Arrive at Paro International Airport
  • Meet your guide and transfer to Thimphu (1 hr drive)
  • Light sightseeing depending on arrival time:
    • Buddha Dordenma
    • Memorial Chorten
    • Tashichho Dzong (evening view)

Overnight: Thimphu

⛰️ Day 4: Start Bumdra Trek (Paro → Sang Choekor → Bumdra Camp)

Trek Duration: 4–6 hrs
Altitude: ~3,800 m

  • Drive to Sang Choekor monastery (starting point)
  • Begin the uphill trek through forests and meadows
  • Visit a cluster of sky burial temples near the campsite
  • Reach Bumdra Camp, famous for golden cliffs & sunset views
  • Overnight in tented camp
  • Stunning night sky photography opportunity

🏞️ Day 5: Bumdra → Tiger’s Nest (Descent) → Paro

Trek Duration: 5–6 hrs, mostly downhill

  • Morning visit to Bumdra Monastery
  • Descend through old pine forest trails
  • Trail merges with the iconic Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) route
  • Arrive at Tiger’s Nest viewpoint, then descend to parking
  • Transfer to hotel in Paro for rest
